My Paintings...
Are they Related to
Utah ?

I was not sure how to title this page.  It is a part of the "Textures of Utah" photo site...and then...
my paintings... After a while, I realized that for me, there is a clear connection.  The state of Utah
holds my greatest interest, admiration, and love.  With its unique rock formations, colors, and
endless space, this state is a paradise for any artistic soul.  My other source of inspiration is art
work of Georgia O'Keeffe and Carol LaRoche.  Both artists expressed their love for the desert
landscapes, and initiated many art pieces while living in the neighboring state of New Mexico.

Next pages present my study work of Georgia O'Keeffe and Carol LaRoche art.  The process has
been a powerful learning tool for me.  It enabled me of undertaking my own projects including
painting abstracts, flowers, landscapes, portraits, and human figures.  I have to admit though,
that Georgia O'Keeffe's concept of flower close-up, bold forms, and colors are still my
    favorite.
